Safeguarding against ransomware
CaRMS’ IT team is dedicated to ensuring our systems meet the highest security standards, so when a new ransomware family (Ransom.Wannacry) began spreading on May 12, 2017, we immediately took action to ensure that we – and our clients – are protected.
Keeping our security software up to date is standard procedure at CaRMS, but over the weekend we eliminated any possible vulnerabilities by ensuring patch levels and antivirus protection was up to date on all servers and desktops. What does this mean for our clients and stakeholders? It means that you can trust attachments and links sent in emails you receive from CaRMS.
