Grounds for Review

The CaRMS match may be reviewed only upon the basis of a suspected data entry or processing error or procedural error which occurs in the match process (an "Error").

Notice of Suspected Errors

If one or more Errors is suspected to have occurred during a match, they should be brought to the attention of the Executive Director of CaRMS immediately, in writing, and in any event no later than thirty (30) days following the announcement of the match results. Notice of such suspected Errors may be received from either an applicant or a program registered in the match. Any written notice of a suspected Error must explain completely and in detail all of the circumstances surrounding the suspected Error. A written report from the Executive Director of the findings of an internal investigation will be sent to the applicant(s) or program(s) reporting the suspected error.

If the judgement provided to the applicant or program does not satisfy the applicant(s) or program(s), the applicant(s) or program(s) may request an independent audit. The request for such an audit will require the payment of audit fees as established by the CaRMS Board of Directors.

Independent Audit

Upon payment of such audit fees as the CaRMS Board may from time to time direct, the applicant(s) or the program(s) involved may request an independent audit.

The independent audit will consist of a review of the specific rank order list of both the applicant(s) and the program(s) involved in the specific match and a review of the relevant data entry. The independent auditor will provide the results of the audit in writing to the relevant applicant(s), the program director(s) and the CaRMS Board.
