In the fall of 2009, the Pediatric Chairs of Canada convened a working group with representation from various stakeholders to ascertain the feasibility of creating a centralized application process for entry into Pediatric subspecialty training. This Working Group included representatives from CaRMS, the Council of Post-Graduate Deans (CPGD), Pediatric Chairs of Canada (PCC), Subspecialty Pediatric Program Directors, Pediatric Program Directors, Pediatric residents (represented by the Resident Section of the Canadian Paediatric Society [CPS], and the Canadian Association of Interns and Residents [CAIR]).
