Three Steps in the Request for Registration Process
To participate in the CaRMS Medicine Subspecialty Match (MSM), all eligible residents (including those in their third year of Medicine residency programs in Canada) must first register for the match. Registration begins July 12, 2011. The registration process is outlined below.
- View provincial eligibility criteria:
http://www.carms.ca/eng/r4_eligibility_prov_e.shtml
- Complete the on-line Request for Registration.
- All candidates submitting a request for registration for the Medicine Subspecialty Match will be required to pay a $95.00 verification fee (plus applicable taxes) before proceeding with their application, unless they are currently enrolled in their third year of Internal Medicine training in a Canadian residency training institution.
- Get your Electronic Token
Once your Request for Registration has been reviewed and the fee for verification
of credentials has been processed, you will be sent an electronic "token" by
e-mail.
- Sign On to the Applicant Webstation (AWS) and Accept the Electronic
CaRMS Contract
You will not be fully registered until you have
- used your token to sign on to the Applicant Webstation (AWS)
- accepted your CaRMS Contract, and
- paid the registration fee.
NOTE: Only applicants registered in a CaRMS Match have access to the Applicant Webstation.
Payment is made on-line using VISA or MasterCard.
Once you have completed these three steps, you will be fully registered.
However, you must still complete, save, and submit all of information
required in the items under the Application tab, select and submit your
program choices and assign documents to those programs in order to have "applied" to
programs.
