Dr. Terry Colbourne is a final year resident in Respiratory Medicine at the University of Manitoba, having completed his core internal medicine training at the same institution.
He was formerly Vice President of Resident Doctors of Canada, and is currently serving a second term as their Training Committee Co-chair. In this role, Dr. Colbourne is leading several project teams focused on providing resident feedback and engagement on system reforms around competency based medical education and post-graduate program accreditation. He established his passion representing medical learners and gained experience in board governance in prior executive capacities with the Professional Association of Residents and Interns of Manitoba, Canadian Federation of Medical Students, and Manitoba Medical Student Association.
Though originally from Manitoba, Terry has completed Bachelor studies at Queen’s University and Masters studies at Dalhousie University.
