Get the most out of your CaRMS experience with social media

By: Jillian Menard, Communications Officer | October 12, 2016

Are you following CaRMS on Facebook and Twitter? Have you seen our help videos on YouTube? If not, you may be missing out on information, reminders and updates that can help you navigate your match year.

Twitter and Facebook

Our Facebook page and Twitter feed provide information and updates on each of our matches as well as general information from CaRMS. While our social media channels certainly aren’t the only way to access information about the match—timelines are posted on our website, and we send out email reminders for each milestone along the way—they are a fast and easy way to get the information you need, exactly when you need it. In addition to timely reminders, you can also find links to useful tips, informative articles and announcements about our system and services.

We use hashtags in our match-specific Twitter and Facebook posts to help you distinguish between the matches—#R1, #MSM, #FMEM and #PSM. Our Facebook posts include colorful match-specific icons so you can quickly see if a message is relevant to you.

The CaRMS YouTube channel hosts instructional videos to help guide both applicants and programs through the match process. From filling out your application to accessing your match results, we’ve got you covered! We also post recordings of the live webinars we hold throughout the match year on each phase of the match process.

We are always working on improving the content we share with you over social media, so let us know what you think! What are you interested in seeing from CaRMS?

We’d love to hear from you! Follow us on social media and contact us at if you have any questions, comments or suggestions.
