CaRMS Forum at CCME 2015
We are proud to be hosting the CaRMS Forum once again at this year’s Canadian Conference on Medical Education (CCME).
The event will kick off with a preliminary summary and analysis of data from the 2015 R-1 Main Residency Match (R-1 match) presented by our Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer Sandra Banner.
Following the presentation, we will announce the winners of the Sandra Banner Student Award for Leadership (SBSAL). This award encourages the development of future leaders in medicine. The award has been expanded into two separate categories for 2015, so for the first time we will be announcing two recipients: a medical student and a resident.
In addition, we will also announce the winners of the 2015 Match Moments Video Challenge, an online video contest for students registered in the R-1 match, and screen a reel of memorable highlights from the video submissions.
“We’re thrilled to welcome you to the CaRMS Forum at the 2015 Canadian Conference on Medical Education,” said Sandra. “I look forward to sharing the data from this year’s R-1 match and announcing the winners of the 2015 Match Moments Video Challenge.”
“On behalf of the CaRMS Board of Directors, I look forward to announcing the winners of the 2015 Sandra Banner Student Award for Leadership at this year’s Canadian Conference on Medical Education,” said Dr. Willa Henry, Chair of the CaRMS Board of Directors. “The Awards Committee received many competitive submissions this year and is very excited to announce the names of the two recipients of this year’s award.”
The CaRMS Forum takes place Sunday, April 26 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Pacific Ballroom of the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.
