CaRMS Online’s new transfer function
When the Medicine Subspecialty Match (MSM) opens on July 22, 2015, applicants will be able to transfer examination results and documents, as well as diplomas and medical school transcripts, directly from the MCC’s online portal, physiciansapply.ca, to their CaRMS Online application. This new, streamlined data and document transfer function replaces the time-consuming manual process used previously.
Last September, the MCC and CaRMS introduced Phase 1 of our connectivity project: a new feature that enabled applicants to share their examination results in real-time, by connecting to a customized physiciansapply.ca transfer page through their CaRMS Online account. Over 2,300 applicants have already used this feature to assist them in completing their applications for the 2015 R-1 Main Residency Match.
Phase 2 of this project, which comes into effect when CaRMS Online opens for the MSM match on July 22, will also allow for the automatic transfer of exam result documentation, diplomas and medical school transcripts.
