Post-match process for 2017 R-1 Main Residency Match
CaRMS offers a post-match process (PMP) for the 2017 R-1 Main Residency Match. This process allows applicants who are unmatched after the second iteration to submit their applications to programs that are still considering candidates. Programs are not obligated to participate in this process. You can view which programs are considering applications in our program description directory. For more information on this process, consult the PMP timeline.
No programs are currently participating in the 2017 R-1 post-match process. Programs and available positions can still be added and removed at any time until May 9, 2017. If positions do become available during this time, CaRMS will notify applicants by email.
There is no cost for the post-match process and no ranking or matching services are included. There is no formal timetable for the post-match process—once an application has been submitted it is immediately available to the program for review. All arrangements (interviews, offers, etc.) are coordinated between the postgraduate office, the program and the applicant. Positions are competitive and can be added or removed at any time.
