On Tuesday, September 30, CaRMS recognizes and observes the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Today, our nation reflects on the painful history and lasting impacts of residential schools in Canada. We join Canadians from coast to coast in honouring the children lost to the residential school system, the survivors, their families, and communities. This federal statutory holiday recognizes the intergenerational harm caused to Indigenous families and communities, as well as the ongoing impacts of residential schools.
