In order to mitigate the impact of the current physicians strike on medical learners in Quebec, CaRMS has made adjustments to the R-1 Match timeline to provide additional time for applicants to submit documents requiring translation.
Deadline for MSPRs sent by Canadian faculties requiring translation:
October 20 at 17:00 ET (formerly October 10 at 12:00 ET)
Deadline for submission of translation requests:
October 23 at 17:00 ET (formerly October 15 at 17:00 ET)
We hope these timeline adjustments, determined in collaboration with Quebec UGME Deans and the AFMC, will assist Quebec match applicants in navigating the R-1 match in this exceptional situation.
CaRMS continues to work closely with Quebec faculties and the AFMC to support the implementation of any other accommodations that may be required to support Quebec learners.
