Dr. Bondok is an ophthalmology resident at the University of Calgary. He previously completed his medical degree and undergraduate studies in genetics and physiology at the University of British Columbia. He has held leadership roles on several national and institutional boards and committees.
Mostafa’s work focuses on medical education and health equity—particularly improving how research involving underserved populations is conducted and reported. He has led community-based initiatives supporting individuals living with HIV, refugee and newcomer youth, and other underserved populations. He also led Canada’s largest medical student–resident mentorship program and founded mentorship initiatives for students traditionally underrepresented in medicine and STEM.
As a CaRMS board director, Mostafa is committed to advancing a fair, transparent, and evidence-informed residency match process that better serves both Canadian and International Medical Graduates.
