Dr. Rami Habib was nominated by the Fédération des médecins résident(es) du Québec (FMRQ) to succeed Dr. Heithem Joober as FMRQ’s nominated Director on the CaRMS Board.

Dr. Habib is a PGY-4 in Medical Oncology at McGill University, where he also earned his MD. He is President of the Association of Residents of McGill (ARM) and currently sits on the FMRQ Board. In 2024- 2025, he was Vice-President for Academic Affairs – Specialties, representing the Association of Residents of McGill (ARM) on the FMRQ’s Academic Affairs Committee – Specialties (CAP-S), as well as assistant chief resident. Before entering residency, he was Executive President of the Medical Students’ Society of McGill University and Past President in 2020-2021.

Dr Habib is interested in research and has contributed up until now to three scientific articles, including one recently submitted to the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He was also involved in mentoring his medical student colleagues from September 2021 to July 2024.

Rami speaks English, French, Arabic, and Spanish.
