July 2025
Program descriptions for all programs participating in the match should be approved and available on carms.ca for applicants to review. Once program descriptions are approved, they are immediately available on carms.ca for applicants to consult.
Applicants may begin the application process.
Applicants who participated in a previous match can log into their CaRMS Online account using their existing username and password to participate in the match. Anyone who has forgotten their username or password can click on the ‘Forgot your username or password’ option on the CaRMS Online login page.
Applicants who would like their MSPR or references to be translated using the CaRMS-facilitated translation service must make the request through CaRMS Online by today to allow sufficient time for translation before file review begins. Documents must be available in your CaRMS Online application in order for us to be able to process the translation.
We will continue to process translations that are requested after this date, but, due to the high volume of requests, we cannot guarantee they will be available in your account before file review begins.
Applicants can start selecting the programs to which they wish to apply and assigning requested documents.
August 2025
Referees must submit references through the CaRMS Online referee portal by this date to give applicants enough time to assign reference materials to programs before the opening of file review.
Referees can submit references after this date and time; however, this may impact the time available for applicants to submit complete applications to programs prior to the opening of file review.
If applicants would like their references to be translated by the CaRMS-facilitated translation service, they must be submitted before the translation request deadline.
Applications and all required documents must be submitted and assigned to programs by 12:00 (noon) ET today to be considered on time.
Any applications and documents submitted or assigned after 12:00 (noon) ET today will be time-stamped as late.
Some programs will not review late applications or documents. Consult program descriptions to ensure programs will review your application if it is submitted after file review has begun.
Programs now have access to all submitted applications and documents.
Programs must complete all interview status updates in CaRMS Online during this time frame. Interview statuses should be assigned at least one week prior to the scheduled program interview date and official interview invitations must be distributed to applicants within five days of the interview status update made in CaRMS Online.
Interviews are conducted during this period. Programs are responsible for scheduling interviews with applicants directly.
September 2025
