Calling all future medical leaders – online applications for the 2022 Sandra Banner Student Award for Leadership (SBSAL) will be accepted starting October 1, 2021.
The SBSAL is designed to encourage the development of future leaders in medicine through public recognition and financial support to learners that have demonstrated interest in/aptitude for leadership.
Both undergraduate medical students and postgraduate medical trainees are invited to apply. One winner will be selected from each group.
The SBSAL was established in 2013 by the Canadian Resident Matching Service (CaRMS) Board of Directors in recognition of the nearly three decades of leadership Sandra Banner provided to CaRMS.
