R-1 Summary of eligibility for applicants with accredited post-graduate residency training in Canada and the U.S.

Postgraduate medical training is accredited RCPSC/CFPC/ACGME training in Canada or the U.S, that takes place upon the completion of a medical degree.

Preliminary training in the United States is considered accredited postgraduate training for the purposes of R-1 match first iteration eligibility.
